This was originally a Japanese children's book that I wrote. I decided to make an English version out of it, and played around with the words somewhat.
So this is not an exact translation, but the same story. Enjoy!

Hamlin Fistula Japan is the Japan Partner for the Hamlin Fistula Group, headquartered in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
We are centered around the Addis Ababa Fistula Hospital to serve women with obstetric fistula free of charge.
Obstetric fistula is a hole in the vagina that women in obstructed labour develop that makes them incontinent.
These women are usually from the poorest villages (pregnancy related) or from warzones (rape induced) and often illiterate and without means of economic sustainance.
However surgery may typically only cost $300 to $500US with more than 90% success rate.
Hamlin Fistula Japan is based in Tokyo and at this time has limited abilities to have updates in English, but if you are non-Japanese speaker with stronger ties abroad, please visit our sister organizations and they will have a lot of information.
